A consortium of South Korean flour mills has purchased about 100,000 tons of milling wheat to be sourced from the United States and around 87,500 tons from Australia, European traders said.

guneykore86A consortium of South Korean flour mills has purchased about 100,000 tons of milling wheat to be sourced from the United States and around 87,500 tons from Australia, European traders said. The US wheat was purchased in three consignments. The first US consignment of 35,000 tons for shipment for June 1-30 comprised 8,400 ton of hard red winter wheat and 26,600 tons of US dark northern spring wheat. A second 35,000 ton USA consignment also for June 1-30 shipment comprised 31,450 tons of soft white wheat. A third 30,500 ton US consignment for shipment between June 5 and July 5 comprised 14,200 tons of soft white; 6,500 tons of hard red winter wheat and 9,800 tons of dark northern spring wheat. The Australian wheat was purchased in two consignments, they said. The first consignment of 54,500 tons for shipment for June 1-30 comprised 42,500 tons of standard white; 6,000 tons of hard wheat and 6,000 tons of premium, traders said. The second consignment for shipment for June 15 to July 15 comprised Australian standard white and hard wheat, they said.
