The JTIC exhibition in Paris gathered the actors of the milling industry. Innovation was the main message that stood out from the organization which brought 135 brands together. Companies introduced their innovative products towards the grain sector.
The 68th JTIC – International Milling Directory- which is considered as the dialog platform of milling and grain industry was this time held in Paris. The organization which took place on 8-9 November has thrown 2 thousand and 200 hundred professionals working in the sector together. The fair in Paris Event Center was held on an area of 3 thousand square meters and 25 new brands were attended when compared to the previous year.
Innovation was the main message that stood out from the exhibition to which visitors from all the branches of the milling industry as well as the machinery manufacturer giants such as Bühler, Alapala, and Ocrim attended.
One of the remarkable factors in the fair that was held with the aim of “Exchanging ideas and finding concrete solutions” was ‘JTIC Lab’ sessions which were implemented for the first time this year. Within the scope of JTIC Lab, suppliers introduced their solutions for the issues of the grain industry and innovative products and made presentations within a given period of 15 minutes. This year, the scope of the conferences was expanded to include agro-ecology, pest control, and administration as well as technical and socio-economical subjects. The number of conferences conducted reached to 7, which was 4 in the previous year. “Agro-ecology and the future of flour quality”, “New trends in food” and “Deciphering consumer expectation” were among the subjects discussed in the conferences. It was pointed out that today consumers were seeking for ‘sufficient and healthy, culturally acceptable, justly and reasonably priced’ foods as nutrition.
Xavier Bourbon, President of AEMIC (Association des écoles des métiers des industries céréalières) which organized the JTIC exhibition, stated that the organization went very well and said that thanks to the innovations they have brought about this year, they have attracted a larger number of visitors.
