İDMA İstanbul, which will bring together industry professionals from more than 100 countries, aims to contribute to a trade volume of $1 billion through new partnerships and investments. Leaders of the global grain, feed, and food processing industries are set to meet at IDMA Istanbul 2026. Key topics shaping the future of the sector—from food security and sustainability to AI-supported production and international trade—will be discussed in Istanbul. Muhammet Ali Kalkan, Chairman of the Board of HAGE Group, the organizer of the exhibition that offers Türkiye an opportunity to demonstrate its manufacturing strength on the global stage, stated: “As the need for safe and sustainable food production continues to grow alongside the increase in the world’s population, IDMA Istanbul 2026 will provide industry professionals with new collaboration and investment opportunities. Showcasing the latest innovations in grain and food processing technologies, the event will also lead the way in defining the roadmap for the global industry.”

Scheduled to take place at the Istanbul Expo Center from June 25–27, 2026, the International Flour, Feed, Grain, Corn, Semolina, Rice, Bulgur, Milling Machinery and Technologies Exhibition (IDMA Istanbul 2026) is preparing to bring together leading manufacturers and professionals from the flour, feed, corn, semolina, rice, bulgur, pulses, pasta, and biscuit technologies ecosystem. Being held for the 11th time, the exhibition aims to be not only a trade platform but also an international meeting point where the transformation of the global grain and food processing industries is discussed.

We Are the Most Critical Link in Food Security
M. Ali Kalkan
Chairman of HAGE Group
Commenting on the exhibition, Muhammet Ali Kalkan, Chairman of the Board of HAGE Group and organizer of the IDMA exhibitions, which have become some of the world’s largest gatherings for manufacturers of flour, grain, feed, pulses production equipment and milling machinery, said: “Food security, sustainable production, and supply chain resilience have become more critical than ever across the world. The sector we represent and lead forms the most crucial link in global food security. Therefore, we position IDMA Istanbul 2026 not merely as an exhibition where technologies are showcased, but as a strategic platform where ideas, investments, and international collaborations that shape the future of the industry take form. Thanks to Istanbul’s unique location connecting continents, we aim to create value for the global grain and food processing ecosystem by bringing together industry representatives from around the world under one roof.”
Türkiye Plays a Strategic Role
Kalkan also stated: “With its strategic location between Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, Türkiye plays an exceptionally important role in this sector, just as it does in many others. With our strong position in milling and grain processing technologies, we stand out as one of the central countries of the global industry. While Türkiye maintained its leadership in global flour exports with approximately 3 million tons of flour exports in 2024, the Turkish milling machinery sector also continued to increase its exports. With our advanced manufacturing infrastructure and logistical advantages, Istanbul is becoming a critical global meeting hub for the industry. Through the new partnerships to be established at IDMA Istanbul, we aim to contribute $1 billion to the sector’s trade volume.”
Global Flour Trade Expected to Grow Again
According to data from the International Grains Council (IGC), expectations of renewed growth in global flour trade are attracting attention, while investments in food security are accelerating, particularly in emerging markets such as Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. Changing consumption habits, urbanization, and strategic food investments are increasing demand for advanced processing technologies.

More Than 12,000 Industrial Flour Mills Worldwide
More than 12,000 industrial flour mills operate worldwide, processing over 570 million tons of wheat annually. In today’s industry, competitiveness is no longer determined solely by production capacity; energy efficiency, sustainability, digital process management, traceability, and supply chain resilience have also become key factors.
As part of IDMA Istanbul 2026, the IDMA Global Grain & Milling Forum, international industry sessions, technology launches, networking events, the BBM Kitchen experience area, international business meetings, and buyer delegation programs will also be organized. Focusing on the future of global food supply, grain trade, and processing technologies, IDMA Istanbul 2026 will provide a strong news agenda for media organizations covering economics, agriculture, technology, sustainability, foreign trade, and food security.
The 2024 edition of IDMA welcomed visitors from 94 countries and hosted 60 different international buyer delegation programs. The previous exhibition recorded a total of 7,556 visitors and 170 exhibiting companies.
