The turnkey installation supplied by Golfetto Sangati and developed specifically for the production of carob seed flour is in operation from mid-March at the Italian plant of a major international client. Golfetto Sangati, Pavan Group, has been selected for the mutual development, supply and installation of a plant for the production of carob seed flour (LBG: locust bean gum). This plant will see the installation of the new series of Rollermills Synthesis specially developed for grinding of products different from cereals and hard to mill. This process produces flour that is today widely used in food industry as a natural thickener in the preparation of creams, cakes, jams, sauces for toppings, fresh cheeses and ice cream. The carob seeds that contain galactomannans produce flour that is used as a natural additive, thickener, emulsifier, stabilizer and gelling agent. The entire plant of the mill (fall piping, pneumatic manifold, filter, cyclones decanters, star valves with rotor and casing) was made of stainless steel for alimentary use. Just as all parts of the machines in contact with the product are made of stainless steel for alimentary use meeting therefore the strictest health requirements. A specific bell has been developed to facilitate the entry of the product inside the mill and it has been equipped with capacitive probes that measure the level of the product with eight distinct points of reading. The electronics on board the machine adjusts the speed of the feed rolls according to the level found. The competence of the Golfetto Sangati staff, in addition to the robustness and quality of construction of the machines used and the swift and simple maintenance of the Synthesis Rollermills accounted for the multinational a key element in the choice of the supplier of the plant, to ensure continuity of production and efficiency.
