CESCO announced the successful delivery of the first materials to the construction site of a new “green” and technological plant for Molino Chiavazza in Cuneo, northern Italy.

The project, designed to modernize agricultural and industrial infrastructure, includes thefollowing:

  • A silo storage section for a mill plant, enabling the storage, unloading, mixing, and homogenization of cereals, with future plans to expand for the storage of protein flours for feed applications.
  • Mixed truck and train intake facilities, offering energy savings and reduced emissions through a railway connection.
  • 11 corrugated steel-sheet round silos with hopper bottoms (12.2m diameter) and 4 truck outloading silos, providing a total combined storage capacity of 25,000 tons.
  • Silos equipped with ventilation systems for air or carbon dioxide ventilation, ensuring the safe and chemical-free storage of cereals—ideal for bio-products.
  • Advanced conveying equipment—chain conveyors, bucket elevators, and belt conveyors—with a maximum capacity of 400 t/h.
  • Complete steel supporting structures.
  •  The plant is being constructed on the site of a former aluminum foundry, which is now being repurposed for sustainable agricultural use. Construction will occur in two phases, starting in 2024, with completion anticipated in 2025.

Luigi Chiavazza, Managing Director and owner of Molino Chiavazza, expressed his satisfaction with the project’s progress: “Working with CESCO’s engineering team has been a rewardingexperience. We are delighted to see the project advancing to the execution phase, withfoundation works nearly complete and materials ready on-site to commence erection in January.”

MarFno Celeghini, CEO of CESCO, shared his perspective: “This milestone represents ourcommitment to delivering high-quality solutions for agricultural innovation. We are proud tocontribute to such a transformative project in Italy, where CESCO has recently expanded itslocal manufacturing capabilities.” This project underscores CESCO's commitment tosustainability, efficiency, and supporting global agricultural development.
