TABADER’s Second Doyen Gathering attracted huge interest. Many prominent names have been awarded at the night of which name has been changed into “International Doyens’ Gathering and Award Ceremony”. Mustafa Bayram, CEO of TABADER, said that the gathering “is not just a ceremony,” adding that the gathering commemorates those who passed away while encouraging the youth.
The Association of Cereal and Pulses Processing Technologies, Storage and Analysis Systems (TABADER) held the Second Gathering of Doyen that earned general approval of the sector during IDMA 2019 Exhibition held at Istanbul Expo Center. The association changed the name of the gathering into “International Doyens’ Gathering and Award Ceremony.” It awarded prominent people that contributed to the milling sector in different countries and added value to this industry with plaques. In this way, the night already internationalized in the second edition and became the center of interest.
Speaking during the opening ceremony of the night, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Bayram, President of TABADER, said the following: “This night is the night of fidelity. This night is the night of history. This night is the night of the archive. This night is not just an award ceremony. Just like the previous gathering, at this night, we remember those contributed to this sector, make these people remembered and commemorate those who left us and acclaim these people’s value and success.”

At the International Doyens Gathering and Award Ceremony, the association presented awards in six categories: the Foundation of the Year Honor Award, Those Who Brought Value to the Sector Honor Award, Those Who Left Us Honor Award, and Those Who Contributed to the Development of the Sector Honor Award, Young TABADER Honor Award, and the Doyen of Sector Honor Award. TABADER’s Board of Directors selected these people upon a thorough investigation.
The Turkish Grain Board (TMO), Turkish Union of Chambers and Exchange Commodities (TOBB), Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce, Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce, and Turkish Pasta Industrialists Associations have been presented with the award of the Foundation of the Year. Ahmet Güldal, CEO and General Manager of TMO, received the award for the Turkish Grain Board. Bahri Can Çalıcıoğlu, TOBB Presidency Special Adviser, has received the award for TOBB on the behalf of TOBB President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu. Gültekin Güler has received the award for Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce on the behalf of Ömer Zeydan, President of Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce. Abdülkadir Külahçıoğlu, President of Turkish Pasta Industrialists Associations has received the award for the organization.

Rodion Rubchinskiy, President of Ukraine Milling Association received a award in the Those Who Brought Value to the Sector category.
Those Who Brought Value to the Sector has turned into a special moment. Abdüllatif İzem, Ahmet Güldal, CEO and General Manager of TMO, Ahmet Tiryakioğlu, CEO of Tiryaki Agro Gıda San. ve Tic. AŞ, Recep Konuk, CEO of Pankobirlik and Konya Pancar Ekicileri Cooperation, and Rodion Rubchinskiy, President of Ukraine Milling Association have been given awards.
In the gathering named as the Night of Fidelity, precious people who contributed to the sector but passed away were given an award in the Those Who Left Us category. This category also let people thought of these important people. Ara Karagöz, Firuz Kanatlı, Mehmet Deveci, Mehmet Karabiber, Noyan Galip Erik, Orhan Demircan, Selahattin Öztahtacı, and Mehmet Zeki Ayan were recalled during the gathering.

Ali Yağcı, Ayşe Nur Yüksel, and Semih Alapala received awards in the Young TABADER category.
Prof. Dr. Ayhan Atlı, Ralph Kolb, Salih Zeki Özmen, Uwe Schulz, Şahin Batallı and Adil Yetki have presented awards in the Doyen of the Sector category while İsmail Uğural, Taner Öztürk, and Prof. Dr. Vural Özdemir were named as Those Who Contributed to the Development of the Sector.
While remembering those contributed to the sector, the association awarded the young people. Ali Yağcı, Ayşe Nur Yüksel, and Semih Alapala received awards in the Young TABADER category.
