“Developing and adapting smart production and automation to the system is very important to catch up with the rapidly developing international market. For this reason, the high performance of automation systems enables to stay ahead of the competitors in the sector and to maintain the competitive aspect. In human-oriented and human-based production facilities; the production speed and the amount of product obtained as a result are much lower than the facilities working with smart production and automation systems.”

Today, all companies realize that they cannot go much further with traditional production strategies and as a result of this realization, the companies that include digital transformation in production, are in the way of making the transition to the smart production system. Smart production is a system of process control that uses computers, big data and other automation tools to increase manufacturing efficiency, which emerges to optimize the process of manufacturing.

It is important to control every stage in the process from raw material and semi-finished product to the final stage and exit of the product from the company. While performance, capability, quality and standards come to the fore here, it is very important for companies to reach world standards. It is important that companies working in very favourable conditions and with qualified opportunities benefit from advanced technologies and up-to-date software programs.

By using advanced technologies more, both training the personnel and using the most up-to-date innovative methods are inevitable for inter-firm competition. Intelligent production; are integrated and collaborative production systems designed to meet varying market demands and conditions and respond in real-time. To explain with a more basic approach; It is a technology-oriented approach in which smart machines are used to monitor production processes. The main purpose of smart manufacturing is to use data analytics to determine the necessary conditions to automate processes and improve production performance.

Smart production, which has emerged with the introduction of smart technologies, indicates an opportunity for companies that should really be emphasized. It is very important to follow the existing processes with development and automation studies and to resolve the problems between the processes. While it is important to accelerate production and increase efficiency, it is very important to evaluate performance and quality as a harmonious whole.

AUTOMATION

Automation, also known as a saving system, has entered our lives as a reflection of the cooperation between manpower and machinery. The automation system, which is basically called "self-acting" or "independent of human interaction", has started to make its impact more felt with the industrial revolution. Especially in industrial areas, it is possible with the cooperation of "Smart Production and Automation" to carry out the managerial activities of the companies without the need for manpower. In such manufacturing systems, the percentage of work-sharing between human and machine determines the level of automation. Therefore, human and human-made needs become less.

Smart Production and Automation

The combination of smart production and automation is very important in the globalizing world market, where increasing research and development studies and technology-oriented competition are rapidly increasing. For this reason, it is very difficult to be safe, fast and efficient in order to survive in the changing competitive conditions in a market that is constantly growing and the number of actors is increasing. However, it is possible to overcome this challenge in the industrial sector with smart production and automation.

In addition to using the existing systems, important steps can be taken in order for the companies to follow continuous development and to have a voice in the market. Smart production and automation systems followed by our company reveal important technologies and plans in this regard. Existing systems, which have come across us in a very advantageous way, provide privileges to companies that want to have a say in the global arena.

It is very important to use time and money efficiently and to make the best use of technology. However, it is of great importance for companies to evaluate their existing technologies in terms of their development. For this reason, smart production and automation emerge as a method that has paved the way for companies.

Smart Production and Milling

Intelligent production is possible to the extent that the technical infrastructure that can collect and analyze data and use it for control can be established in the enterprises in the grain industry. In short, the machines or process components, which are the main elements of production, fed with data and attention should be paid to the inter-system communication that forms the basis of smart production.

When the smart production technology in the milling sector is examined, some main lines stand out. When considering the system in outline; storage, product receiving and cleaning, tempering, grinding, product storage and packaging are the main parts of the system. These parts have many control and databases such as machine, motor, sensor, and mechanical, pneumatic, electronic.

The data received from the sensors is transmitted to a central management system and if the necessary improvements can be made in the system with the feedback from there, it means that the automation system is provided. Considering that this process is provided for all departments in the factory or facility and there is data transfer between the departments, we can accept that smart production is possible for the mill industry.

However, there are a few factors that need to be considered in the smart production system to be established. These; dust, vibration, static and system harmonics. This and similar factors in the mills; it can cause negative reasons such as explosion, breaking of the communication system, wrong process control. This is the biggest obstacle to the creation of a smart production and automation system.
