It is declared that a new pulse facility with an investment of 2 million 100 thousand liras will be established in Derebucak county of Konya which is named as the ‘grain silo of Turkey’.
Aybars Yiğit, Food, agriculture and livestock manager for Derebucak county, announced that the construction of a pulse facility will start soon. In his statement, it is mentioned that the project is being carried out within the scope of the offer they have submitted to Konya Plains Project Regional Development Administration (KOP) and its financial size is 2 million 100 thousand liras.
The facility will be financed by Derebucak Municipality and KOP Administration together. “1 million 50 thousand of the facility will be financed by Derebucak Municipality and the other 1 million 50 thousand will be financed by KOP Administration. In our county, we are working on a model that we are familiar from abroad and is rare in Turkey. With this model, we wish that the grower will participate in all production, processing and marketing steps and will be supported by project coordinator institutions and organizations,” said Yiğit.
