CESCO announced significant progress in the erection of a modern steel mill building and grain storage facility in Douala, Cameroon. This major project is financially backed by AKA-Bank, with support from Euler Hermes Export Credit Insurance, underscoring the importance of this initiative for regional industrial growth.
Recent updates from the site highlight key developments in the assembly process. Inspections of anchor bolts and preparations for concrete pouring were carried out, marking an important milestone. These activities are part of the meticulous construction efforts aimed at bringing the project to completion.

Project Highlights
- Large-Scale Storage Capacity: 15 corrugated steel silos with a combined capacity of 205,000 tons, complemented by a 3,800 m² soy storage warehouse.
- High-Capacity Handling Systems: Grain receiving lines (2x400 t/h) and soy lines (2x125 t/h) for efficient intake.
- Advanced Pre-Cleaning and Weighing: Integrated systems for removing impurities and ensuring accurate measurements.
- Future-Ready Design: The facility includes space for an additional 120,000 tons of storage capacity to meet UFC’s future needs.
