Royal DSM, a global purpose-led science-based company, and the World Food Programme (WFP), the world’s largest humanitarian organization, have agreed to extend their partnership and scale up rice fortification worldwide for a further three years. The partnership will seek to improve the availability and accessibility of nutritious foods in order to reach vulnerable people where key dietary decisions are made.
The Brazilian government cut import tariffs for several categories of goods, focusing on food staples in an attempt to reduce consumer inflation. Import tariffs on beef, chicken, corn, wheat flour, wheat, cookies and bakery products were eliminated through the end of the year.
