The Millers for Nutrition initiative, a coalition of key stakeholders in food fortification, has been officially launched in Bangladesh, marking a major milestone in the country’s efforts to combat malnutrition.

Shri Bharatarsabha Dasa, National President, The Akshaya Patra Foundation recently joined milling industry leaders and other stakeholders to launch Millers for Nutrition, a coalition of food fortification stakeholders with a goal to reach 1 billion people with better nutrition by 2026.

Millers for Nutrition has launched in Kenya and Tanzania to enable millers in both countries to produce safe, nutritious food to help reduce malnutrition and enable their peoples to live healthier and more productive lives.

Millers for Nutrition is an industry-led coalition launched in 2023, which aims to help millers produce adequately fortified staple foods and reach one billion people with fortified rice, edible oil and flour by 2026.
