Wheat will be traded on BIST from now on

Konya, Turkey's granary is set to become the center of the product market. Cooperating with Istanbul Stock Exchange, Konya Commodity Exchange will offer wheat contracts with national and international investors with Stock Exchange of Konya. borsa Konya Commodity Exchange (KTB) and the Istanbul Stock Exchange (BIST) Futures and Options Market (VİOP) made a strategic partnership. Wheat now to be traded on the Konya stock exchange will be presented to national and international investors' interest through VİOP. Co-operation which started in February is in the final stage. Operating principles and form of Konya Commodity Exchange Agricultural Products and Specialized Markets (TUVEIP) were introduced at a meeting related to commodity futures. Amerikan CoBank Board Members and Euroasia Group Directors attended the meeting held by Istanbul Stock Exchange General Manager Tuncay Dinç, Deputy Director General Çetin Ali Dönmez and VİOP Business Group Director Muammer Çakır. The guest of honor of publicity and consultation meeting which President of the Parliament from Konya Commodity Exchange Selçuk Öcal, Chairman Huseyin Cevik, On behalf of Exchange Konya the Board Member Mustafa Topçu, General Secretary Esat Bilici and Exchange Konya Director Emine Şen Gülal attended was Canada's former Secretary of State John R. Baird. During the meeting, recent developments in global commodity markets and agricultural products and views for enhancing cooperation between commodity markets were discussed; new cooperation opportunities were emphasized; and it was agreed to continue the consultative meeting. Secretary-General of KTB Esat Bilici made a detailed presentation about the Exchange Konya Agricultural Products, Specialized Commodity Market and business processes at the meeting.
