Wheat alert in Pakistan from miller association

Pakistan Flour Mills Association (PFMA) Punjab Chapter has warned of shortage of flour in near future if the provincial government does not start releasing wheat to the mills from official storages.
The problems of milling sector on wheat in Pakistan are endless. In his press statement, PFMA Punjab Chairman Habibur Rehman Leghari has warned that if the state government does not start to provide supply to the mills from the authorized storages, there will be flour shortage in a short time.
Millers in Pakistan worry about that the wheat existence in the open market would come to an end as the prices are high and thus the product supplies decrease.
Stating in that 30 % of the mills within the state have closed due to the high prices and the lack of wheat, PFMA Punjab Chairman Leghari emphasized that there will be a serious shortage of wheat if this situation continues. Former PFMA central president Asim Raza Ahmed, Mian Muhammad Riaz and board members also attended to the press meeting.
