Ulusoy increased its sales revenues by 61 percent in the first six months of the year. Emphasizing that the license-based warehouse investment implemented this year was effective in this, Ulusoy noted that they plan to increase their global market shares with another warehouse.
Ulusoy, which serves in the sector with two factories that process 900 tons of wheat per day, achieved a total sales turnover of TL 826 million in the first half of this year and increased by 61 percent when compared to the same period of previous year. The company, which exports to 82 countries in 5 continents, increased its gross profit from 34.2 million TL in the first six months of last year to 53.9 million TL in the same period of this year. According to the news in Dünya daily, the company, which has a 6 percent share in the flour market exported from Turkey to the world, aims to increase its global market share to 10 percent with its new investments. Ulusoy’s Chairman Eren Günhan Ulusoy, who informed that they have made a significant leap in their transaction volumes with the licensed warehouse in Çorum this year, and announced that another licensed warehouse investment in the registration stage of Yozgat’s Sorgun municipality will be opened next year.
DAILY PRODUCTION WILL INCREASE TO 1500 TONS
In addition, the company will start to operate a new production facility in the second half of 2018 in the Samsun Food Organized Industrial Zone and will increase its daily production capacity from 900 tons to 1500 tons. Ulusoy said that Ulusoy Un will cover 3.5 million tons of flour exports last year with 3.6 million tons this year, saying “We, as Turkish flour industrialists, will complete this year as the world’s leading flour exporter.”
