The minister of Investment and Industry and accompanying committee that came to Turkey through the Development Agency of Thrace visited vegetable oil and flour industry plants operating in Tekirdağ.  Tekirdağ met Sudan committee second times. Businessmen from Thrace and Sudan, who initially came together at Thrace Regional Business Forum organized by the Development Agency of Thrace in Çorlu last December, met again to discuss cooperation possibilities. The minister of Investment in Sudan, Adda Alla Ahmed who came to Tekirdağ as part of a two-day program, Consul General in Istanbul, Asım Mukhtar and accompanying committee visited agricultural machinery producers in Hayrabolu and Muratlı, and also vegetable oil and flour plants. The committee receiving sector news from the producers called investors to invest in Sudan. The Minister of Investment of Sudan, Adda Alla Ahmed meeting a lot of non-governmental organizations in the region gave information about Sudan in his meetings. Emphasizing the investment gap in agriculture, livestock, feed production, leather, textile and agriculture machinery, Sudanese minister invited Thracian businessmen to invest in Sudan. Speaking after the minister, Secretary General of Thrace Development Agency Mahmut Şahin emphasized Sudan is a large market and stated that they invited Sudanese committee to Tekirdağ for Thracian companies to take advantage of this market. He also added that the relation between Sudan and Turkey is improving as win-win relation and cooperation in different fields will make important contributions to both countries. Members of Hayrabolu Chamber of Commerce and Industry had an opportunity of bilateral meeting with the Minister of Investment of Sudan and Istanbul Consul General of Sudan.
