SMC, the worldwide leading expert in pneumatics, has ‘sealed it’ with an extension of its normally closed, high-vacuum solenoid valve. The XSA Series delivers high sealing with minimum leakage and a minimum operating pressure differential of just 1 x 10-6 Pa (abs). For added durability, the parts of the valve that come into contact with gas are made from corrosion resistant materials such as stainless steel, FKM, resin (PPS) and PET. The XSA is highly efficient and delivers cost benefits as it’s more economical to operate in terms of power consumption and lighter in weight, supporting SMC’s focus on developing innovations to drive energy savings and competitive advantages for its customers. Its design allocates the spring in the body, reducing contact and minimising particle generation. A Faston terminal counts among its greater choice of terminals, adding to its versatility for a cross section of industries such as food, medical, semiconductor, photovoltaic and LCD. The XSA Series is suitable for applications like gas injection within the process chamber and when working with inert gases is needed.
