Pavan, one of world-leading group in the design and engineering of technologies and integrated product lines for cereal based food, presented its innovations at this year’s Ipack-Ima.
Pavan, a company of world-leading technology group GEA, showcased its scope of expertise for pasta processing, milling and packaging at the fair Ipack-Ima 2018 in Milan. The Pavan Group was acquired by GEA in November 2017 and is among the worldwide leaders, in the design and engineering of technologies and integrated product lines for cereal based food: from the handling of raw materials to the final packaging. The international technology group operates in the business through all leading brands covering the whole production process: Golfetto Sangati for grain milling and handling, Pavan for dry and fresh pasta, snacks and breakfast cereals processing, Montoni for dies and moulds manufacturing, Pizeta for pasta and cereals handling and Stiavelli for pasta and snacks packaging.
NEW MULTIDRIVE TECHNOLOGY
One of the new new technologies Pavan presented in Milan was new MULTIDRIVE technology. The new technology allows manufacturers to make long cut pasta of unrivalled quality at the same time delivering energy savings and a reduced overall footprint. These results have been achieved through a number of innovative features which deliver improved accuracy on working parameters across the line, leading to top performance in dough formation, pre-drying and the drying process.
NEW MRD540 HIGH-SPEED FORMING MACHINE
Pavan also launched its new MRD540 forming machine for fresh filled pasta at Ipack-Ima 2018. With quick die change capabilities it is suitable for the production of single sheet ravioli, fagottini and cappelletti and both hard and soft fillings. The demonstration configuration for the fair combined a SPW single-sheet kneader-sheeter machine and lobe pump.
NEW PACKAGING SYSTEMS
Historical Italian brand Stiavelli, which is part of the Pavan Group acquired by world-leading technology group GEA in November 2017, showcased its enriched range of highly reliable and durable equipment for the pasta industry including its new SVML/SDFQ packaging machine featuring the SPC20 weigher at Ipack-Ima. Thanks to its special mechanics, this high speed, continuous motion packaging machine can pack both brick and pillow bags. The machine is equipped with a bypass conveying system, located at the bottom of the machine body which allows for the alternate production of both types of packs. Likewise, the proven continuous horizontal packaging unit for long pasta, the SO-EVO with its double weight doser, was presented at the booth.
NEW GOLFETTO SANGATI GCTL BRAN CUTTER
At the Ipack-Ima in Milan, Golfetto Sangati debuted its new GCTL bran cutter. New Golfetto Sangati GCTL bran cutter reduces granulometry by two-thirds within a single process. The new machine reduces the granulometry of bran from 700-800 microns to 250 microns in a single process. The result is homogeneous wholegrain flour perfect for the requirements of the food processing industry.
