The Turkish Agricultural Diplomacy Group (TTDG) has officially launched its activities with the mission of strengthening the international representation of Turkey’s agriculture and food sectors. Operating on a voluntary basis, the group brings together a wide range of stakeholders committed to advancing Turkish agri-food diplomacy.

Originally established under the 4th Agriculture and Forestry Council organized by the Turkish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the former Agricultural Diplomacy Working Group has now been restructured and rebranded as the Turkish Agricultural Diplomacy Group (TTDG) following the conclusion of the Council.

Driven by the motto "Our cause is Turkey," TTDG defines its mission as follows: “To enhance the international visibility and representation capacity of Turkey’s agriculture, food, and forestry sectors; to strengthen global partnerships; to raise awareness in this field; to develop a globally integrated agricultural diplomacy approach; to conduct lobbying activities; and to pursue all efforts with a spirit of sector-wide mobilization.”

TTDG is composed of a voluntary team of over 80 members, including academics, senior public officials, business leaders, exporters, representatives from sectoral NGOs and professional organizations, as well as media figures. The group has outlined its vision and strategy in the following terms: “Through the work we carried out during the Agriculture and Forestry Council and the reports we prepared, we were able to clearly define our vision. We also generated numerous ideas and recommendations regarding the roadmap that should be followed. Our strategic documents are ready, and we will continue our work on a voluntary basis.”

TTDG aims to use strategic diplomacy tools to make Turkey’s agricultural and food sectors more visible, more effective, and more collaborative at the global level.
