A regional meeting themed “Future of Wheat before Harvest” was held by the Southeast Flour Industrialists’ Association (GUSAD) on May 19-21 in Mardin.
A sectoral and regional meeting themed “Future of Wheat before Harvest” was held by the Southeast Flour Industrialists’ Association (GUSAD) on May 19-21 under the auspicious of the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel in the province of Mardin. The opening speeches of the meeting participated by the prominent representatives of the sector were delivered by the GUSAD President Erhan Özmen, Gaziantep Commodity Exchange President Ahmet Tiryakioğlu, General Manager of Soil Products Office (TMO) İsmail Kemaloğlu and Mardin Governor Mustafa Yaman.
İsmail Kemaloğlu, General Manager of Soil Products Office (TMO) stated that sales were made at a record level in the period of 2015/16 and that some imports were made besides existing stocks in order to meet the needs of the markets and added: “The markets will be monitored closely and all kinds of measures will be taken for the coming season. TMO will evaluate the stocks for the domestic market and therefore the industrialists should take their measures accordingly.
At the panel held within the scope of the regional meeting themed “future of Wheat before the Harvest”, TMO Chamber of Commerce President Cihan Soyalp gave a presentation themed “TMO’s 2017-2018 Wheat Policies”.
